Advice For Achieving The Perfect Baked Potatoes In An Air Fryer

For perfectly cooked potatoes using an air fryer, paying attention to the following advice and suggestions:

• Use russet, Idaho, or sweet potatoes. As a result of the high starch content, these have a more robust exterior in addition to a fine, mealy consistency.

• Make sure you use potatoes that are roughly the same size so that they cook at the same rate.

• The fork test should be used to assess whether or not they are finished. Cooking times might vary considerably depending on the type of air fryer being used, as well as the size and quantity of potatoes being prepared.

• When preparing food, make sure to make use of cooking oil that has a high smoke point. Coconut oil and other oils with a low smoke point can catch fire.

• Be careful not to put too much into the basket. It is important to leave some space between the potatoes so that the hot air can circulate around them and cook them evenly. The maximum number of potatoes that can be fried in an air fryer with a standard capacity of 7 quarts is four.

• If you are using potatoes that are particularly large, or if you are air-frying more than four potatoes in an air fryer with a greater capacity, you may need to add up to ten to fifteen minutes to the total cooking time.

• When removing potatoes from the air fryer basket, you should always use tongs or an oven mitt since the potatoes will be quite hot.
